The GP Unique
In terms of hot hatchbacks go you'll be hard-pressed to find one more aggressive than the GP Unique. It features large intakes, an arch extension and a two part rear wings. These are features normally reserved for French unicorns.
Thankfully, it doesn't only look mean. It also is incredibly responsive. The engine is powerful and smooth with 332lb of torque coming in with no fuss from below 1,750rpm, and it's well matched to the quick-shifting 6-speed automatic gearbox. It's a pity that the GP Unique doesn't have a manual option, but Mini is clear about its emphasis on lap times and an auto is clearly the best choice here.
It's not without flaws. The GP Unique's passive suspension is firm, but not engaging. When you're driving straight and smooth B road, you can easily test the chassis's dynamic limits but it's difficult to remain fluid with your inputs. The front end gets a little snatchy and the car slams when under pressure by irregular British bumps.
After you have dialed into the GP Unique, its handling is excellent. Its emphatic front end and body control are redolent of the JCW race car we drove last year. When you're on a slippery surface and when you're in a determined mood, it's a true pleasure to drive.
The car's chassis also feels distinct from the standard MT-09, thanks to the fact that it has a higher torsional rigidity and larger axles. The new GP has 24.7 degrees of rake and 108mm of trail, which feels a lot more on the nose than the R6's - but it also provides incredible stability in corners.
The PO Generator module is another great feature in GP. This module lets you review your inventory as well as the min/max levels you've set for each item and any open POs your suppliers have (i.e. more inventory is expected) and generates suggested purchase orders that you can forward to your suppliers.
The GP 500

In terms of the accuracy of color it was close to perfection with a DeltaE error of 2.3 which is quite good. power mobility showed excellent grayscale performance with clean, very distinct shades. The GP500 displayed subtle rainbow colors while watching the Adam Project. These were easy to see however they did not hinder the viewing experience.
The sound is also impressive. The GP500 has an onboard independent DSP chip with TreVolo psychoacoustic tune that creates 3D audio effects. It is equipped with an internal quad-speaker layout which is positioned at each corner of the cabinet. This is designed to create an audio field that is fully immersive for everyone, regardless of their position within the room.
There are a variety of connectivity options, including HDMI inputs 1 2, 3 and an optical Toslink SPDIF to send Dolby-Atmos bitsstreams natively to a sound bar that is external. The GP500 includes two Type-A USB 2.0 ports for streaming content, and it supports a 12-volt trigger for an electronic screen.

The GP 900
Sceptics will argue that the GP is just a naked XSR900 dressed in a Wayne Rainey frock, but the reality is that Yamaha's designers have put their heads together to create a heartfelt and effective tribute to its sporty heritage. The 117bhp CP3 engine is extremely usable and has a range of power that can be utilized at low revs. Even at highway speeds the GP's midrange power can be enough to alter your speed/time/distance calculations and completely eviscerate Google Maps estimated time of arrival. And the GP's chassis is just right - it's not as rigid as an R6 or as light and agile as a TT500. However, it's a lot of fun and a blast to ride.
